Getting started
A good therapist can make a huge difference in your life. For example you may be feeling one or more of the following:
- Sad, inferior, helpless or inadequate
- Anxious, worried, or full of self doubt
- Angry, frustrated or lonely
- Stuck, blamed, criticized or victimized in a relationship
If so, I want you to know that it is possible to CHANGE the way you FEEL. Rapid and lasting change may be possible, but hard work will be required. If you feel ready and willing to change, I would love to have the chance to work with you.
Working with Dr. Selph
At the start of every session we'll explore the painful emotions that are bothering you, such as guilt, shame, sadness, anger, rage, or fear. Although compassion and acceptance are incredibly important, they only represent the first step. I'll also show you how to use some powerful tools that can help you solve your problems.
We sometimes think that effective treatment necessarily requires months, years, or even decades of therapy. My goal for you is different. I want you to experience rapid and enduring change. Of course, each individual is different, and some people will require more intensive or longer term work, but in many cases, rapid recovery may be possible.
